Ode to Jono

by in People

Upon arriving in New Zealand, I made a somewhat impulsive decision to spend the summer in Tauranga, a town where I knew only one family. I heard about a guy named Jono at church, so the next Sunday, I walked right up and introduced myself. Little did I know the friendship that God had in store for me.

Ode to Jono

Mere words cannot convey

The friendship God has brought my way

An answered prayer on both ends

Has led to something beyond just friends

Brothers, we are

Through thick and thin

To challenge and push

And occasionally grin

The adventures we’ve had

I’ll always remember

Climbing mountains and camping

And U2 in November

You’ve put my well-being

In front of your own

Through treating me like family

Your generosity has shown

The blessing you’ve been

Compares to no other

You’re no pal, no buddy

You’re truly a brother

Do you have a “brother” or “sister” in your life, a friend who you’d trust your with your life? How well do you recognize and cherish their friendship?

Truly honored to be a pemtry recipient KB.

Since you left there is something missing…I find myself really wanting to hang with the texas girls just to get my fix of american accent.

In all truth, you made my summer sureal and gave me a good kick in the ass without even trying. Lets do it again sometime.
God’s gunna do some freaky stuff with you KB, and I get to just sit back and watch it all happen via your the web.

Let me know when you start your own church, I wanna try the coffee.

P.S. The november, remember rhyme was tight.
