Musicianaries Making [Free] Music

by in Other

Meet Ascend the Hill.

They’re an incredible group of “musicianaries” whose music I stumbled onto while traveling in New Zealand. What’s a “musicianary”, you might ask?

According to their website:

“We choose to share music and profit as a humble example of radical generosity. We live simply to give generously, encouraging others to do the same.”

They give away their music for free because they want you to hear it. Click here to visit their website and download their albums for free.

I hope it changes your life the way it’s changed mine.

  1. From Lori:

Cool beans! Heading over to download now. What a cool concept. It reminds me of Seth Godin’s book Linchpin. He writes about business & marketing, but he has some similar concepts about giving things away for free.

Somehow “What goes around comes around” is so cliche, but so appropriate for what they’re doing. I know they will be blessed for sharing their work.

Did I mention I missed the chance to see these guys at Parachute when I was there? So bummed!
